Rick has played an active role in the accounting and business community for the last 20 years. In 1983, he started his own accounting practice as well as a computer consulting firm. At the advent of the personal computer, Rick developed a series of software solutions, which revolutionized the accounting industry in Canada. Since 1983, Rick has computerized over 300 businesses.

Rick developed the first software to automate accounting firms, and assisted in its implementation in over 800 CA firms. Rick taught Lotus 1-2-3 to more than 10,000 Chartered Accountants from coast to coast. He computerized over 200 CA firms in Ontario and continues to work with them today to improve their productivity.

More recently, Rick was instrumental in the creation and design of a revolutionary concept in the insurance industry in Canada, creating a paperless office operating as a call centre, to replicate the head office of a life insurance company.

Rick is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario and The Financial Standards Council of Canada. He is a graduate of the University of Waterloo with a BA in Mathematics.
