Mike began his career as a Chartered Accountant with Deloitte Touche in Kitchener in 1979. In 1982, Mike was involved in the first purchase of computer hardware in the country for the accounting firm, and proceeded to become the firm expert in personal computers.

Mike began to author and present courses for Deloitte Touche on a national level, as well as for the Financial Executives Institute, the CMA Society and Wilfrid Laurier University. In 1984, Mike became the firm’s Information Services Director for audits and microcomputers in Southwestern Ontario.

In 1985, Mike left Deloitte Touche to form his own technology solutions firm MGS Consulting Limited, and merged his firm with Moore McDermott & Partners in 1997. During this time period, Mike consistently provided a range of technology solutions to a wide variety of businesses.

These solutions included providing services in network design and implementation (Novell and Windows NT), Web design, e-commerce and security as well as custom accounting software design and integration with existing accounting systems.

In 1999, Mike merged his technology solutions firm with MDK Consulting Group, bringing with him a staff of highly skilled, experienced technology consultants.

Mike is a graduate of Wilfrid Laurier University with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree.
