Efficient Cutting & Pasting

Now that you are all experts at CTRL C to copy and CTRL V to paste, here is a tip on how to use them.

When you are writing a fax cover from Act, and you want to print it or fax it and create a history:

  1. Highlight the subject line before you print or fax
  2. Hit CTRL C to copy the subject line
  3. Print the fax cover
  4. Choose to create a history (that doesn't mean you have to save or attach the document)
  5. Hit CTRL V to paste the subject line

If you always think cut and paste, you would be surprised at the amount of keystrokes and time you can save.
